Clean or replace the bypass poppet on a GPRO V25 Fuel Transfer Pump in just a few steps.

For when you need to clean or replace a bypass poppet within a GPRO V25 Fuel Transfer Pump, use the walkthrough below or the video linked above. Remember to wear properly fitting PPE when doing this task!

  1. Turn off the pump and disconnect from power
  2. Use a 10 mm hex wrench to unscrew the bypass plug from the pump
  3. Remove the bypass poppet spring, o-ring, bypass poppet assembly and orifice seal. Be careful as these parts are under spring tension
  4. Inspect the o-ring on the poppet (part number 170500-03) for damage or wear
  5. Before reassembling, remove the bypass poppet o-ring and bypass plug o-ring and lightly coat both with grease
  6. If poppet components contain debris, wipe them with a clean cloth
  7. Reinstall the o-rings on the poppet and bypass plugs
  8. Reinsert the bypass assembly (poppet on top, spring in middle, plug on bottom) into the pump. Tighten in place with hex wrench
