How to Clean or Replace Gears On A GPI M150 Pump

If you need to clean or replace the gears in your GPI M150 pump, you can follow these steps to get the job done.

Here's a quick rundown on hose to clean or replace the gears on a GPI M-150 Fuel Transfer Pump. Remember to wear properly fitting PPE when doing this task!

  1. Turn off the pump and disconnect from power
  2. Remove the cover plate screws using a socket wrench,
  3. Remove the cover plate and the o-ring inside the cover plate from the pump housing
  4. Remove the drive key and gears from the pump housing
  5. Inspect each gear (part number 110504-1) for wear and damage
  6. Wipe the gear cavity with a clean cloth
  7. Reinstall the drive key and gears
  8. Lightly coat the o-ring with grease
  9. Re-insert the o-ring securely into its grooves on the cover plate
  10. Bolt the cover plate back into place
