If you need to clean or replace the gears in your GPI M150 pump, you can follow these steps to get the job done.
Here's a quick rundown on hose to clean or replace the gears on a GPI M-150 Fuel Transfer Pump. Remember to wear properly fitting PPE when doing this task!
- Turn off the pump and disconnect from power
- Remove the cover plate screws using a socket wrench,
- Remove the cover plate and the o-ring inside the cover plate from the pump housing
- Remove the drive key and gears from the pump housing
- Inspect each gear (part number 110504-1) for wear and damage
- Wipe the gear cavity with a clean cloth
- Reinstall the drive key and gears
- Lightly coat the o-ring with grease
- Re-insert the o-ring securely into its grooves on the cover plate
- Bolt the cover plate back into place
