How to Clean or Replace Strainer On A GPI M150 Fuel Transfer Pump

Clean or replace the strainer in your GPI M150 Pump in eight steps.


Replace the strainer within a GPI M150 Fuel Transfer Pump quickly with the video above or the walkthrough below. Remember to wear properly fitting PPE when doing this task!

  1. Turn off the pump and disconnect from power
  2. Remove the strainer cover plate with a Phillips screwdriver
  3. Use a flathead screw driver to remove the strainer assembly
  4. Remove the inlet strainer (part number 110504-1) and inspect for damage or clogs. Replace if needed
  5. Clean the strainer with a soft bristled brush and solvent
  6. To reassemble, place the strainer back into its cavity
  7. Remove the o-ring, lightly coat it with grease and reinstall securely into its groove
  8. Secure the strainer access cover plate back in place. Make sure the o-ring is properly seated before tightening in place
