How to install NX25 Series Bypass Valve Kit

Install NX25 Bypass Valve Kit in 14 steps.

WARNING: Relieve pump pressure and disconnect power before starting

Installation of Fill-Rite's NX25 Series Bypass Valve Kit

Accessing the Bypass Valve Assembly, Inlet Screen, and Gasket

WARNING: Wear safety glasses while working with bypass valve

1. Remove any accessories on outlet of pump
2. Remove pump from bung adapter
3. Use wrench to loosen fasteners
4. Remove gasket and screen from bung adapter, wipe away any remaining debris
5. Push bypass spring and cap down, rotate cap 90 degrees to unlock valve
6. Use 4" object in inlet to push bypass valve into place, hold bypass valve in place
7. Use 4" object in outlet to grab bypass valve cap
   
   1. Push bypass cap down and rotate 90 degrees
   2. Remove pieces

Replacing the Bypass Valve Assembly, Inlet Screen, and Gasket

1. Insert bypass spring tip-side first into opening, hold in place with blunt object
2. Drop spring through outlet onto the bypass poppet
3. Place bypass cap over spring in pump outlet
4. Push bypass cap down over locking tab and rotate bypass cap 90 degrees

Replacing Inlet Screen and Gasket

1. Place inlet screen in indentation, ensure properly seated
2. Place gasket on bung adapter
3. Mount pump on bung adapter, secure with 4 fasteners
