Do these 13 steps to get your NX25-DDC pump mounted onto your fuel tank.

Fill-Rite's NX25-DDC pump is a simple install if you follow the directions in the video above or listed down below. Please note that foot mount bung adapters are also available for this pump.

Directions to install series pumps:

  1. Use a tape measure to measure the depth of your tank to determine the length of pipe you need. It is recommended that you use a 1-1/4" black iron pipe.
  2. Cut the pipe 3" short of the bottom of the tank at a 45° angle and clear any debris from the cut side of the pipe to prevent shavings from going inside the pump
  3. Disassemble the bung adapter from the pump
  4. Set aside the provided screen and seal
  5. Apply thread sealant to the pipe
  6. Apply thread sealant to the pump's bung adapter
  7. Thread the pipe into the bung adapter until it is hand tight and use a pipe wrench to go 1.5 to 3 turns past that point
  8. Thread the pump and attached pipe into the tank. Turn until it is hand tight, the use a wrench to secure in place
  9. Place the screen in the indentation of the bung adapter, then place the seal on top. Failure to properly seat the screen could result in fluid leakage
  10. Mount the pump on the bung adapter and secure with the four fasteners provided with a 3/16" Allen wrench. The pump weighs 25 lbs., so two people may be needed to complete this step. It is recommended that you tighten the seals in a diagonal order to help properly seat the seal and pump
  11. Connect the DC power cable to your pump. Make sure to identify the flat side of the plug as it must align with the internal flat of the plug in when you connect it
  12. Tighten the spin collar on the cord all the way to the end of the threads
  13. Attach the nozzle boot to the switch plate and secure it with the provided fasteners and a 5/16" Allen wrench
