How To Install A GPI EZ-8 Fuel Transfer Pump

Looking to install a GPI EZ-8 fuel pump onto your fuel tank? Check out the walk through listed below to get a step-by-step on how to install a direct mount and a spin collar EZ-8 pump.

For Direct Mount EZ-8 pumps

  1. Add thread tape to all threaded parts of the pump, hoses, suction pipes and adapters
  2. Install the gasket suction pipe on the pump
  3. Extend the suction pipe to its full length
  4. Thread the pump directly onto the tank
  5. Attach the street elbow to the pump
  6. Attach the hose to the street elbow
  7. Attach fuel nozzle to open end of the hose


For spin collar EZ-8 pumps

  1. Add thread tape to all threaded parts of the pump, hoses, suction pipes and adapters
  2. Tightly install the included bung adapter on the fuel tank
  3. Install the gasket and suction pipe on the pump
  4. Extend the suction pipe to its full length
  5. Install the pump on the bung adapter
  6. Tighten down the spin collar
  7. Attach the street elbow to the pump
  8. Attach the hose to the street elbow
  9. Attach fuel nozzle to open end of the hose
