# How to Install Piston Hand Pump Series Full Rebuild Kit

## Install Piston Hand Pump Series in 23 steps.

WARNING: Relieve pump pressure and disconnect power before starting

### Directions to Install Piston Hand Pump Series Full Rebuild Kit

**Disassembling Pump Cover**

1. Remove hitch pins
2. Remove clevis pins and remove handle
3. Remove bearing nut
4. Flip pump over, use a socket wrench to loosen 8 fasteners
5. Remove pump cover and gasket
6. Push piston to remove from pump body
7. Remove white packing from shaft opening
8. Remove inlet screen with small tool

**Disassembling Piston Assembly**

1. Remove (2) large piston rings
2. Remove (2) large o-rings
3. Remove (4) valve assemblies

Replacing Piston Assembly

1. Install (4) new valve assemblies
2. Install (2) large o-rings
3. Install (2) large piston rings
4. Install inlet screen, push it down until it sits on the ledge in inlet
5. Install cover gasket, ensure it is properly seated
6. Ensure arrows on piston assembly are facing down during reassembly
7. Push piston assembly back into pump body
8. Use socket wrench to tighten (8) fasteners to 45 in-lb
9. Push packing down into threaded chamber
10. Thread bearing nut into threaded chamber, use a wrench to secure
11. Replace vacuum breaker

Reattaching Handle Assembly

1. Align handle with guide arms and secure with pins
