      How to rebuild NX25 Series Kit

      Rebuild NX25 Series Kit in 26 steps.

       

      WARNING: Relieve pump pressure and disconnect power before starting

      Installation of NX25 Series Full Rebuild Kit

      Disassembly of Rotor + Shaft Seal

      1. Remove rotor cover, gasket, rotor, vanes, and rotor key
      2. Remove old shaft shield assembly
      3. Use snap ring pliers to remove snap ring
      4. Use pliers or hooks to remove other pieces

      Replacing Shaft Seal

      1. Install pieces in following order
        1. Large o-ring
        2. Black carbon ring
        3. Stainless steel mating ring
        4. Small o-ring
        5. Washer
        6. Spring
        7. Washer
      2. Use deep impact socket to push pieces as far back on motor shaft as possible
      3. Use snap ring pliers to install snap ring

      Replacing Rotor, Rotor Key, Vanes, and Cover Gasket

      1. Slide the rotor onto the motor shaft
      2. Align rotor with shaft and insert rotor key
      3. Install vanes all facing the same direction
      4. Place gasket in indentation, ensure it is properly seated
      5. Install new rotor cover

      Accessing the Bypass Valve Assembly, Inlet Screen, and Gasket

      WARNING: Wear safety glasses while working with bypass valve

      1. Remove any accessories on the outlet of the pump
      2. Remove pump from bung adapter
      3. Use wrench to loosen fasteners
      4. Remove gasket and screen from bung adapter, wipe away any remaining debris
      5. Push bypass spring down and rotate cap 90 degrees to unlock valve
      6. Use 4" object in inlet to push bypass valve into place
      7. Use 4" object in outlet to grab bypass valve cap
        1. Push bypass valve cap down and rotate 90 degrees
        2. Remove pieces

      Replacing the Bypass Valve Assembly, Inlet Screen, + Gasket

      1. Insert bypass spring tip-side first into opening, hold in place with blunt object
      2. Drop spring through outlet onto the bypass poppet
      3. Place bypass cap over spring in pump outlet
      4. Push bypass cap down over locking tab and rotate cap 90 degrees until it locks in place

      Replacing Inlet Screen and Gasket

      1. Place inlet seat screen in indentation, ensure it is properly seated
      2. Place gasket on bung adapter
      3. Mount pump on bung adapter, secure with 4 fasteners
