Rebuild NX25 Series Kit in 26 steps.
WARNING: Relieve pump pressure and disconnect power before starting
Installation of NX25 Series Full Rebuild Kit
Disassembly of Rotor + Shaft Seal
- Remove rotor cover, gasket, rotor, vanes, and rotor key
- Remove old shaft shield assembly
- Use snap ring pliers to remove snap ring
- Use pliers or hooks to remove other pieces
Replacing Shaft Seal
- Install pieces in following order
- Large o-ring
- Black carbon ring
- Stainless steel mating ring
- Small o-ring
- Washer
- Spring
- Washer
- Use deep impact socket to push pieces as far back on motor shaft as possible
- Use snap ring pliers to install snap ring
Replacing Rotor, Rotor Key, Vanes, and Cover Gasket
- Slide the rotor onto the motor shaft
- Align rotor with shaft and insert rotor key
- Install vanes all facing the same direction
- Place gasket in indentation, ensure it is properly seated
- Install new rotor cover
Accessing the Bypass Valve Assembly, Inlet Screen, and Gasket
WARNING: Wear safety glasses while working with bypass valve
- Remove any accessories on the outlet of the pump
- Remove pump from bung adapter
- Use wrench to loosen fasteners
- Remove gasket and screen from bung adapter, wipe away any remaining debris
- Push bypass spring down and rotate cap 90 degrees to unlock valve
- Use 4" object in inlet to push bypass valve into place
- Use 4" object in outlet to grab bypass valve cap
- Push bypass valve cap down and rotate 90 degrees
- Remove pieces
Replacing the Bypass Valve Assembly, Inlet Screen, + Gasket
- Insert bypass spring tip-side first into opening, hold in place with blunt object
- Drop spring through outlet onto the bypass poppet
- Place bypass cap over spring in pump outlet
- Push bypass cap down over locking tab and rotate cap 90 degrees until it locks in place
Replacing Inlet Screen and Gasket
- Place inlet seat screen in indentation, ensure it is properly seated
- Place gasket on bung adapter
- Mount pump on bung adapter, secure with 4 fasteners
