WARNING: Relieve pump pressure and disconnect power before starting
Directions to Install Rotary Hand Pump Series Rebuild Kit
Disassembling Pump Cover
- Loosen and remove nut from shaft
- Remove washer and handle
- Use a T25 drive to remove 2 fasteners
- Use a socket wrench to loosen 8 fasteners
- Remove fasteners and pump covers
Disassembling and Replacing Shaft Seal
- Pull shaft out through opening, remove 2-piece shaft seal
- Place black seal then place white seal in indentation
- Slide shaft back through pump cover
- Reinstall the bearing plate cover, secure with 2 fasteners
- Tighten to 32 in-lb
Removing Vanes and Gasket
WARNING: Pieces of the rotor assembly are spring-loaded, wear safety glasses when working on pump body
- Remove 3 vane assemblies
- Remove pump cover gasket
Replacing Vanes and Gasket
- Replace gasket, ensure it is properly seated
- Insert 1 pin into 1 spring
- Insert pin and spring into opening in the vane
- Compress pin and spring towards vane
- Insert compressed pieces into rotor opening with pin facing center
- Repeat with remaining vane assemblies
- Align pump cover and shaft with rotor
- Use socket wrench to tighten fasteners to 45 in-lb
- Place crank on shaft, secure with washer and fastener
Disassembling Inlet Screen and Gasket
- Remove pump from bung adapter
- Use 7/16" wrench to loosen fasteners
- Remove gasket and screen from bung adapter, wipe away any remaining debris
- Seat screen in indentation
- Place gasket on bung adapter
- Mount pump on bung adapter, secure with fasteners
