Switch out the power switch on your EZ-8 pump.
Need to switch out the power switch on a EZ-8 pump? The video above or the instructions below will walk you through it. Remember to wear properly fitting PPE when doing this task!
- Turn off the pump and disconnect from power
- Unscrew the six bolts from the cover plate with an 11 mm wrench, then remove the cover plate from the pump housing
- Unscrew the #20 Torx screw holding the switch to the pump, then remove the switch from the cavity
- Unscrew the two Phillips head screws holding the pump wires to the switch terminals and separate them from the switch (part number: 902007-530)
- To reassemble, connect the pump wires to the terminals on the new switch. Make sure the correct wires are connecting to each terminals, then use the screws to tighten in place
- Reinsert the switch into the cavity and install in place with the #20 Torx screw
- Reinstall the cover plate. Make sure the the electrical switch aligns inside the switch actuator on the inside of the cover plate. Ensure the o-ring inside the cover plate is properly aligned before tightening in place.
