All it takes is six steps to install a new bypass valve in your FR series/SD series Fill-Rite pump
Replace the bypass poppet in your FR series or SD series Fill-Rite pump with a FIll-Rite Bypass Valve Kit (KIT120BV) and this short video/walkthrough. Remember to wear PPE when tackling this task.
Note: this kit usable for FR1200, FR2400, FR4200, FR4400, FR600, SD1200 and SD600 series Fill-Rite pumps.
WARNING: Before working on the pump, relieve the pump pressure and disconnect it from power.
- The bypass valve located on the side of the pump housing. Remove the bypass cap with a wrench or a socket. The bypass spring should come out with the cap. If not, remove the spring from the port as well.
- Remove the o-ring around the port
- Use needle nose pliers to reach into the port and pull the bypass poppet out
- Grab the new bypass valve with the pliers and insert it into the port with the tip of the poppet going in first.
- Install the o-ring seal and ensure it is properly seated
- Insert the spring into the cap and reinstall the cap handtight. Use your wrench or socket to securely tighten it into place
